With facebook one has to play to the algorithm in order to get the most visibility
Tips from a Shliach
Everything is public on my page, you can check it out yourself. fb.com/RARACHABAD
Here's a few things I've applied. Each one could be a whole megila.
-Never post an image with text in it, or use stock imagery.
-Keep everything heimish and home made.
-Switch up what you post - do a live video, one line of text, a whole long post with a good story.
-as a rule, almost never post links to stuff - to play the game right you gotta keep people on the fb platform.
-ask questions (what's your favorite cheesecake recipe),
-create a group for your constituents aside from your fb page.
-Do NOT share from your chabad page to personal page, rather post the same content/concept from a different angel.
-Answer inquiries to your page straight away,
-reply to every comment on every post,
-post stuff about dead people. Cemetery visits, yahrtzeits, etc. Everyone on fb loves that stuff.
-be active on your personal page.
-answer questions on community groups
-show that you are reachable on facebook very easily.
-make stories, reels,
And the list goes on and on...!
Here's an example of reach and engagement without spending a penny. https://www.facebook.com/401894796595255/posts/pfbid026QaQMsmgvshHqHGNdV6qL1dNVy6BapLfLPCQXiAZqDzY4ran1HF1TfgC3r66WCynl/
"The above did work very well. But the strategy used is not unique to this post.
Look at the content of the post. "
You can't be posting such rubbish content that breaks every rule in the book and then wonder why it's not getting to anyone.
If you spend 2 minutes making a post, you'll get two minutes worth.
The above post took over an hour to put together and the results show.
You also need to establish what you're trying to get out of the post.
People signing up to events is not likely.
At best, you'll get a like or comment that can lead to a conversation which may lead to a meeting or a donation.
